Remembering Noah

"My name is Michael Vabner and I am the older brother of Noah Pozner. On December 14th, 2012 Noah was killed in the Sandy Hook Tragedy and my world was forever changed. In tribute I, with the help of some amazing musicians and people, have recorded this track originally done by John Lennon to commemorate the one year mark of his death. I also recorded another song you can see here https://soundcloud.com/vabnerm if you so desire. I hope this track will simply make those of you who watch this reflect on how precious and fragile life is, and take a moment to remember an amazing brother, son, friend, and beautiful person. I will always cherish the time and memories I had with Noah, and though he may no longer be here I will never forget the laugh, happiness and experiences he gave me.
A special thanks to Mr.Bob Riccio, Kurt Eckhardt, Alec Head for inspiring me and making this all possible! And a very sincere thank you to all the musicians who played on this track for your kindness, time, and inspiration. My appreciation for your talent and your time that you selflessly devoted to making this possible is immeasurable and I will never forget the experience.

Personnel:
Producer: Bob Riccio
Engineer: Alec Head
Vocals/Acoustic Guitar: Michael Vabner
Drums/Percussion: Phil Banette
Bass: Stu Woods
Piano/Organ: Greg DeTroy
Pedal Steel Guitar: John Widgren

Thank you to Kurt Eckhardt for his help arranging musicians and helping out at the studio! This wouldn't have been possible without your help!"

  14. Michael,
Very moving song and video you have put together in honor of your brother. Thank you for sharing. Every month on the 14th I remember your brother, thanks to your grandmother's sharing here, and special thoughts and prayers to all of you today and as you continue to move forward into your life without Noah. No easy road to travel though 'they' say time heals…..and there is no time limit over how long that healing takes place…..a lifetime…
    Take Care,
    Janet

  16. As multitudes of others, my heart has been broken. Noah will always remain a part of my psyche....he is imbedded, and as I grieve, I cannot fathom you or your families' pain. A beautiful tribute, Michael, and maybe we can someway move onward and do only good in the name of Noah. He will never, ever be forgotten. Marianne from Michigan

  18. Beautiful, Michael. Heartbreaking. John Lennon wouldn't have sung it better. It's so hard that we must go on without him. Without even knowing him, it breaks our hearts too, just imagining what was taken away from him and you that December day
May your family take strength from one another to be able to go on
Sending all of our love, your friends from Spain, Sandra and Noah
